Dreghorn Loan Hall

Dreghorn Loan Hall at 22 Dreghorn Loan, Colinton, provides a physical presence at the heart of the community. It is home to several Community Groups who use the hall for various activities.

In addition, during the day, the ground floor of the Hall is used by a private nursery school.

We ask that all users are considerate to the hall’s neighbours especially noise levels and parking as this is a residential area.

Charges

• £36 per hour – paid at time of booking
• Time hired must include any set-up and tidy-up time
• An additional safeguard deposit of £50 is payable.  This is refundable (usually on the following Friday) but only if the hall is left in a satisfactory state of cleanliness and tidiness after your event. All rubbish must be removed as there are no bins available for your use. There are cleaning materials available for your use.
• Consideration must be given to our neighbours regarding noise levels and parking.
• Facilities:  There are 16 trestle tables (183 x 89cm or 6ft x 2ft3in) available for use, which can be found in the cupboard at the BACK of the stage on the left (NOT under the stage).  There are about 170 chairs. There is a well-equipped kitchen for your use with a small amount of crockery and cutlery, water jugs, two microwaves, electric double oven and hob, urn and a fridge/freezer.
• The hall is 14mtrs by 10mtrs and has a maximum capacity of 180 people. This is also plenty of space for a bouncy castle.
• There is disabled access, including a chairlift from the front door up to the hall itself. Please note this requires a key to operate it, so please advise in advance if this is required.
• There is no Wi-Fi available.

Music

No amplified music is allowed in consideration of the neighbours and this includes DJ’s and ceilidhs.

Parking

There is no car park at the hall, but there is plenty of parking available on the surrounding streets. We do ask that you are courteous to the neighbours and do not park across any driveways

Access

On the day of your event, you will be asked to collect a key for the hall door, which must be returned immediately after your event.
